Save Van Dyck's Self-portrait

A masterpiece for everyone

Our appeal with the National Portrait Gallery to secure Van Dyck’s magnificent final self-portrait for the nation has been a huge success. Around 10,000 people from across the world made donations, from £1 to £20,000. A major grant was received from the Heritage Lottery Fund as well as support from the Monument Trust and the Garfield Weston Foundation. These contributions have enabled us to raise the £10m needed to purchase the painting, which will be on display at the Gallery until 31 August 2014 before touring the UK.

Thank you to everyone who supported our campaign!
